PROCEDURE AFTER CARE:  MICROBLADING

BASICALLY THERE IS NO DOWNTIME.  SOME REDNESS MAY OCCUR FOR A SHORT WHILE AFTER PROCEDURE, USUALLY 30 MIN. TO 45 MIN.

KEEP IN MIND THAT EVERY PERSON IS DIFFERENT AND EVERY PERSON WILL HAVE DIFFERENT RESULTS TO VARYING DEGREES.  SOME PEOPLE WILL ONLY NEED ONE FOLLOW UP, WHILE OTHERS MAY NEED SEVERAL.  YOU MAY HAVE REDNESS FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE, THIS IS NORMAL.

FOR 2 WEEKS FOLLOWING YOUR PROCEDURE, YOU WILL NEED TO DO A FEW THINGS TO HELP ENSURE THAT YOUR PROCEDURE HEALS IN AS WELL AS POSSIBLE.

***YOU MUST PROTECT THE AREA FROM OVER EXPOSURE TO SUN, HEAT, SWEAT, EXCESSIVE MOVEMENT OR EXTREME EXERTION!  DO NOT RUB, PICK, OR SCRUB OR ATTEMPT TO ALTER THE COLOR IN ANY WAY!!

****NO MOISTURE! NO WATER! NO SWEAT OR SUN FOR 7 DAYS!

DAY 1

DO NOT TOUCH FOR 3 HOURS AFTER PROCEDURE. AVOID DIRECT WATER TO THE BROWS FOR AT LEAST 5 DAYS. KEEP DRY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TATTOO GOO.   THE POINT IS TO NOT LET THE BROWS DRY OUT COMPLETELY WHILE HEALING.   IF THE EYEBROWS WEEP FLUID AND DRY IN PATCHES JUST DAB A CLEAN MOIST COMPRESS GENTLY BUT FIRMLY INTO THE TATOOS.  I RECOMMEND COTTON ROUNDS WHICH HAVE BEEN MOISTENED (NOT SOAKED) WITH PURIFIED WATER.   USE ONCE AND THEN TOSS. LIGHTLY PAT DRY WITH CLEAN PAD AND USING A NEW Q TIP, REAPPLY A SMALL DAB OF TATTOO GOO TO THE BROWS.

MAKE SURE TO APPLY A LIGHT LAYER OF TATTOO GOO AT LEAST 5X/DAY  TO BROWS FOR AT LEAST 5-7 DAYS.  DO NOT GOOP ON THE  HEALING BALM!

AVOID PROLONGED CONTACT WITH WATER,HEAT, STEAM OR SUN.  NEVER THE LET SHOWER RUN OVER YOUR TATTOOED AREA.  TRY NOT TO GET WET X 5-7 DAYS.

DO  NOT WEAR MAKE UP ON OR AROUND THE TREATED AREA x 7 DAYS.  THIS IS AN OPEN WOUND AND DOING SO CAN CAUSE INFECTION. WHEN YOU DO APPLY MAKEUP CLEAN IT WITH ALCOHOL BEFORE USE OR SHARPEN THE EYEBROW PENCIL TIP, ETC.

USE DISPOSABLE APPLICATORS.  NO CREAMS, LOTIONS NEAR THE TREATED AREAS.

YOU CAN USE A COOL GEL PACK (ONCE PER HOUR).  USE CLEAN PAPER TOWEL TO BUFFER THE TEMPERATURE.  THE COOLNESS WILL HELP REDUCE SWELLING.  APPLY FRESH PAPER TOWEL AFTER EACH APPLICATION.  NO DIRECT ICE!!

STOP BLOTTING 30 MINUTES BEFORE BEDTIME.

APPLY **A THIN LAYER  OF TATTOO GOO BEFORE YOU SLEEP.  ALLOW SOME DRYING TIME TO AVOID TRAPPING WATER UNDER THE OINTMENT!  ONCE DRY USE A FRESH Q TIP TO DIP OUT A BIT OF TATTOO GOO AND APPLY TO TATTOOED AREA.

APPLY TATTOO GOO AT LEAST 5X/DAY  DIRECTLY ON THE TATTOO.  NEVER APPLY MORE THAN A THIN LAYER AS YOUR SKIN NEEDS TO BREATHE TOO.

(IF OILY SKIN APPLY OINTMENT 3X DAILY.   IF DRY SKIN APPLY 6-7 TIMES/DAY).

DAY 2 & 3

DAY 2-  REDUCE BLOTTING TO EVERY 2-3 HOURS { IF NEEDED}

DAY3-DISCONTINUE BLOTTING (WOUNDS SHOULD BE CLOSED NOW)

MAKE SURE SKIN IS DRY BEFORE APPLYING OINTMENT.  BY NOW, THE TATTOOED AREA WILL START TO FEEL DRY AND CHAPPED AND MAY ITCH.   REMEMBER TO APPLY ONLY A THIN LAYER OF TATTOO GOO.  DO NOT GOOP IT ON AS TOO MUCH WILL PREVENT OXYGEN TO REACH THE WOUNDED SKIN.

DAYS 4 - 10

YOU MAY NOTICE SOME FLAKING AS DEAD SKIN CELLS BEGIN TO SLOUGH OFF.  THIS IS NORMAL.  REMEMBER YOU MAY LOSE ROUGHLY ANYWHERE FROM 20%-70% OF THE INITIAL IMPLANTED COLOR!! DON’T WORRY-MORE OR LESS COLOR WILL BE ADDED ON SUBSEQUENT VISITS TO ADJUST YOUR PREFERENCES.  REMEMBER THIS IS A LAYERING PROCESS AND I TAKE THINGS SLOWLY BUT DELIBERATELY TO ACHIEVE THE DESIRED EYEBROW.

THE STROKES/COLOR THAT INITIALLY LOOK CRISP AND BRIGHT WILL SOFTEN AS THE NEW SKIN STARTS TO GROW OVER THEM.  IT WILL LOOK AS IF A GRAY MILKY SUBSTANCE IS COVERING THEM.  THIS IS JUST NEW SKIN GROWING AROUND THE PIGMENT.  THIS MILKINESS WILL SUBSIDE OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS.

ITCHING MAY OCCUR DURING THE HEALING PROCESS!! IF IT DOES, JUST GENTLY TAP THE ITCH TO HELP RELIEVE IT.  BENEDRYL MAY HELP AS WELL

SOME OR MOST OF THE COLOR MAY HAVE FALLEN OFF BY NOW.  THIS IS NORMAL.  PLEASE DON’T BE TOO DISAPPOINTED. REMEMBER IF YOUR SKIN TAKES A LOT OF COLOR YOU’D BE THANKFUL THAT YOUR BROWS AREN’T TOO DARK.  DEPENDING ON HOW MUCH COLOR IS LEFT WILL BE A DETERMINING FACTOR IN HOW MUCH I APPLY ON YOU SUBSEQUENT VISITS.

WHATEVER HAPPENS, JUST REMEMBER THAT IT MAY TAKE MULTIPLE SESSIONS TO ARRIVE AT YOUR HAPPY PLACE.

ADJUSTMENTS CANNOT BE MADE UNTIL COMPLETELY HEALED.  COMPLETE HEALING TAKES AT LEAST 4-6 WEEKS.

BEFORE CARE:  LIP BLUSH

Do not consume alcohol, caffeine, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure.

If you have ever had a cold sore or shingles, you will need to take Valtrex, Zovirax, or Famvir from your doctor 24 hours before and take as prescribed after as well.

No injections of lip fillers or Novocaine should be administered to you 2 weeks before treatment.  Please advise us of any current injections.

All makeup should be removed and cleansed.  For optimal results the skin should not be irritated.  If you use Retin-
A or any other medications please advise the technician.

Though the sensation of micro pigmentation is minimal clients respond differently. Some will feel a stronger sensation than others.  Overall procedures require minimal pain preparation. However, some clients use some sort of pain prep for the treatment as a mental comfort.  Many have taken over the counter Tylenol 30 minutes before procedure and this is will not interfere with the procedure.

PROCEDURE AFTER CARE:  LIP  BLUSH

Proper care following your procedure is necessary to achieve best results.  Keep in mind in many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected.  This is the purpose of the touch up visit.

***Judgement of your results should be deferred until 3 weeks-1 month following the final procedure. Immediately after the procedure your look may be harsh and pained on looking but will soften up and look more natural as you heal.

DAY OF PROCEDURE:  One hour after your procedure wipe lips with ONE after care pad, and then apply Aquaphor (recommended).  Repeat once every one-two hours the day of your procedure.

DAY TWO:  Wipe lips with ONE after care pad once every 2-3 hours, then apply Aquaphor.

Be sure to keep lips CLEAN AND MOISTURIZED.  Appt Aquaphor for a couple of weeks, or as needed.  Avoid spicy foods, direct contact with foods or drinks on the treated area for the first 2 days.  Example:  Use a straw when drinking liquids or use a fork when eating food.

*Disposable ice packs may be applied as necessary to reduce swelling.

*Wash your hands before touching any treated area.  Some itching is normal.  DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR SCRATCH the treated area or your color may heal unevenly.  You may also risk scarring and infection.

* No makeup is to be applied until all scabs are gone.

*If using herpes medication, continue as prescribed.  Do not use teeth bleaching products until fully healed.

*2 months post procedure, you may get Botox/fillers.

 Approximate Daily Healing Schedule:

 1.  Lips will be swollen, and may feel tender and hot.  Use disposable ice pack if needed. The lips will appear as though wearing a bright or dark vivid lipstick.  The color may appear warmer than ultimately desired. They will feel very dry and you will feel the need to moisturize.

2. Lips will usually be less swollen, still vibrant and might still feel hot.

3. Even less swollen, still vibrant and might still feel hot.

4. Skin begins to peel; you will see pigment coming off.  Do not pick or peel.  Lip color under peeling skin will appear very light in color.

5. Lips will appear and feel very chapped and dry.  Peeling should be complete.

6-7 Pigment appears very soft in color.  Keep well moisturized with Aquaphor.  Color may seem to disappear and almost become "frosty" in appearance.

10-14 Color begins to "bloom: little by little each day.  Keep well moisturized.

21-28 Healing is complete. The color you see is the color you will retain.  Keep moisturized.

BEFORE CARE:  EYELINER:

Do not take/consume alcohol, caffeine, Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish oil, or Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure.

Do not use Latisse 2 weeks before procedure.

Do not tint, curl, or apply eyelash extensions 48 hours before or two weeks after procedure.

Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately after procedure.  Remember to bring your glasses.  You may resume your contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pretattooed condition.

PROCEDURE AFTERCARE EYELINER:

Proper care following your procedure is necessary to achieve the best results.  Keep in mind in many cases, some unevenness of color is to be expected.  This is the purpose of the touch up visit.

Day of Procedure:  Two hours after your procedure, use the after care pads to properly wipe your eyeliner (this is only necessary for the day of your procedure, do not repeat after Day 1).

*For the next 10 days, we recommend to keep the affected area completely dry.  NO heavy sweating, NO makeup, NO mascara, NO face creams applied directly to, or around the eyeliner area.

*Apply disposable ice pack to reduce swelling, if needed.

*Use your protective visors to protect your eyes while washing your hair/bathing/in the shower.

*If you have dry skin, or live in a region with dry climate, you may apply a very thin layer of the provided gel to the brows until the scabs exfoliate, and fall off by themselves.

Approximate Daily Healing Schedule:

1. You may experience slightly puffy to swollen eyes, heavy lids, light sensitivity, and bloodshot pupils.  Your eyes may feel more swollen then they appear.  Please try to sleep in an elevated position to help reduce swelling at night.  You may not want to use your best pillowcase the first two nights.

2-3 Eyes will be swollen and perhaps "crusty" upon awakening. The swelling will disappear from being in an upright position and increasing circulation to the area.  Avoid heavy lifting, physical exertion, and crying.

4-6 Pigment within the epidermis will begin to flake off in little stitch looking lines, although some people do not notice the exfoliation at all.  Do not scratch/pick! (Blinking helps to eliminate the small pieces of pigment and epidermis which as detached).

7-10 All shedding should be complete.  Once all scabs have fallen off, you can apply water to your face as normal and resume using makeup/mascara.
